STANDINGS
1. Andrew (53)
2. Jeff (52)
3. Chris (50)
4. Dave (44)
5. Matt (42)
6. Zach (37)
7. Bob (29)
8. Justin (21)

Analysis: We have a new leader (obviously). Thanks to Mardy Gilyard and USC's rebuilt-but-still-dominant defense, Andrew has jumped ahead of Chris and into the top spot. Jeff got big games from Case Keenum and Ryan Williams (a great waiver pickup a couple weeks ago) and is just a point behind. Chris, last week's leader, is still in excellent shape, with Dave and Matt a bit further behind due to our touchdown deficiencies -- Dave is in last place with five rushing TDs, while yours truly has accumulated a phenomenal two (!!!) receiving touchdowns this year.

I'll be posting the weekly transaction thread within the next hour, but feel free to send me any additional requests for this week at shorts723@yahoo.com.

Unusual week

Hey guys, I've started compiling stats but wanted to let everybody know that standings won't be complete until after the Louisiana Tech-Hawaii game, which isn't until Wednesday night.

I'll probably post incomplete stats tonight -- Bob (Daniel Porter) and Justin (Greg Salas) won't have completely updated numbers, but that way everybody will get an idea of where they stand.

I'll finish everything on Wednesday once that last game is over.

Week 4 roster update

Hey everybody, sorry for the delay in getting these up. I've been absolutely swamped this week. But anyway, here are the updated rosters heading into Week 4. I've included all the transaction requests I've received so far, and I'll obviously update this post with any more I receive before the start of this weekend's games.

* In a non-injury move, Jeff has dropped Oklahoma RB DeMarco Murry and picked up Virginia Tech's Ryan Williams to take his place. Murray is now available.

* In an injury move, Dave has dropped Notre Dame WR Michael Floyd (out for the year with a broken collarbone) and replaced him with San Diego State WR Vincent Brown.

* In a non-injury move, Dave has dropped UTEP QB Trevor Vittatoe and picked up Toledo's Aaron Opelt to fill his spot on the roster. Vittatoe is now available.

* In a non-injury move, Matt has dropped Ball State RB Miquale Lewis and replaced him with Fresno State RB Ryan Mathews. Lewis is now available.

Analysis: Chris had a HUGE week in the receiving categories, with each of his receivers posting two touchdowns and over 100 yards. Andrew also had a good week overall, as his players combined for 14 rushing and receiving touchdowns (Jahvid Best and Ryan Broyles had eight by themselves, which is more than all but one other team had total last week).

Email me at shorts723@yahoo.com with any roster requests. I already have a couple for this week, and I'll get those up later today.

Week 3 update

I just want to give everybody a heads-up that I'll be unavailable Sunday afternoon and won't have updated stats and standings posted until sometime late Sunday night.

I've also gotten a couple of roster requests for next week, and I'll post those as soon as I get the standings finished.

Week 3 roster update

Here are the current rosters. Any transactions this week will be added to the top as they are requested.

* In an injury move, Justin has dropped Texas Tech WR Detron Lewis (leg) and replaced him with Hawaii's Greg Salas. Lewis is now available.

* In a non-injury move, Zach has dropped Kent State RB Eugene Jarvis and picked up Pitt's Dion Lewis to fill his spot on the roster. Jarvis is now in the pool of available players.

* In an injury move, Matt has dropped Arizona TE Rob Gronkowski (back) and replaced him with Buffalo WR Naaman Roosevelt. Gronkowski is now available.

* In an injury move, Dave has dropped Oklahoma State RB Kendall Hunter (leg) and replaced him with Purdue RB Ralph Bolden. Hunter is now available.

* In an injury move, Justin has dropped Alabama WR Julio Jones (ankle) and picked up Stanford WR Ryan Whalen to replace him. Jones is now available.

3. Andrew (50)
4. Dave (46)
5. Zach (41)
6. Matt (39)
7. Bob (25)
8. Justin (19)

Analysis: Justin had a particularly terrible week because both of his quarterbacks (Kaepernick and Griffin) and his defense had a bye. It's not bad to get those out of the way early. Jeff had an excellent week all around and shot up into the lead, while Andrew, Chris and Dave all dropped slightly but are still right near the top. Statistical oddities: Andrew had more receiving TDs this week than any other team has all season, and Taylor Potts threw for more touchdowns this week (seven) than any other team's QBs combined.

Week 2 roster update

I intended to post updated rosters before the games started last Thursday, but since they don't seem to exist anywhere on the website, that must mean I forgot. So what I'll do is post each team's roster at the beginning of the week and then update it to reflect any roster moves so it's easy to keep tabs on everybody.

* Zach has dropped Sam Bradford (sprained shoulder) and picked up Kellen Moore of Boise State to take his place. This is an injury move, meaning Zach still has a non-injury transaction available this week. Bradford is now back in the pool of available players and can be picked up by anyone.

* Matt has dropped LeGarrette Blount (suspended for season) and picked up Vai Taua of Nevada to fill his spot. Unfortunately for me, this is not an injury move, so that's all I can do for this week.

* Justin has dropped DeAndre Brown (recovering from a broken leg), Harvey Unga (hamstring) and Jermaine Gresham (knee surgery) and replaced those players with Texas Tech's Detron Lewis, USC's Joe McKnight and LSU's Terrance Tolliver. Brown, Unga and Gresham are all back in the pool of available players, although Gresham is expected to miss the rest of the season.

* Jeff has added dropped Derrick Washington of Missouri and added Matt Asiata of Utah. This is his non-injury move for the week, and Washington is now available.

* Andrew has dropped Houston receiver Tyron Carrier and added Juan Nunez of Western Michigan to fill his spot on the roster. Carrier is now in the pool of available players.

Week 1 stats and standings

The Miami-Florida State game ran a little longer than anticipated, but here are the totals from Week 1. I apologize that this won't be very graphically appealing, but Excel doesn't really transfer very well to the website. Anyway, each category includes your team's statistical total and your rank (out of eight people, with 8 being the highest and 1 being the lowest).

The one thing that throws off the total is that right now, Jeff's defense (TCU) hasn't accumulated any stats, so he gets a 1 for each defensive category. That will probably change as soon as TCU plays a game.

Anyway, here you go. Please let me know if you see anything that looks incorrect.

And just to make things a little easier to read, here are the overall standings:

1. Andrew (56)
2. Chris (53)
3. Dave (52)
4. Jeff (44)
5. Matt (43)
6. Zach (38)
7. Bob (31)
8. Justin (22)

Analysis: Dave's decision to grab Michael Floyd turned out to be a good one, as he already has a huge lead in the receiving categories. Pretty much everything else is close. Justin had a bit of bad luck with Harvey Unga, Jermaine Gresham and DeAndre Brown all sitting out the season opener. The one statistical oddity was that defensively, we were all over the board: Three people had their defense allow only three points, while everyone else's defense allowed 27 or more.

As always, email me at shorts723@yahoo.com if you'd like to make a roster move.

Oops

Sorry for the delay in posting stats and standings. I have most of them done, but apparently I misread the schedule and the Cincinnati-Rutgers game is actually Monday, not Sunday. Oh, and Miami and Florida State play Monday night at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

I'll have everything ready to go and post the updated stats and standings as soon as the final box scores are available from those games. Rough estimate: 11:30 p.m. Eastern time. Normally I'll have everything posted Sunday afternoon, but I can't calculate standings until I get all the game results.

Apologies in advance to Zach for drafting Sam Bradford, and you're all welcome for drafting LeGarrette Blount.

Kickoff Eve

We're just a day away now from the opening kickoff of the season, so this seems like a good time to remind everybody that if you want to change anything on your roster for this week (you have one non-injury move available each week), you need to do so by midnight Wednesday.

I doubt anyone's looking to make a change since we just drafted, but there have been some injuries in the last few days so I wanted to make sure everybody was aware that roster changes must be submitted by email (shorts723@yahoo.com) by midnight the day before the first game each week.

Also, please note that there are a couple of games on Sunday and Monday this week, including at least one (Cincinnati-Rutgers) that involves a player in our league. I'll probably go ahead and wait until that game is over to post stats and standings, so you can expect those up sometime Sunday evening. Normally, when there aren't any Sunday games that affect our league, I'll get that stuff up on the website as soon as possible Sunday morning.
